In this week's Pulse Report, the streets are buzzing about Nas' new controversial album title, Cam'ron stepping off the milk carton and Lil' Wayne standing up for his dada.
NAS UNDER FIRE! God's Son sure knows how to spark a debate. The Queens lyricist caused quite a stir earlier this week shortly after announcing that his next release will be entitled, N!GGA. "The man who has brought us such hateful songs as 'Shoot Em Up' and 'Hip-Hop Is Dead' has just announced what the title of his next album will be, anchor John Gibson offered during his intro. How the hell is "Hip-Hop Is Dead" hateful? "Nas made headlines for his performance at Virginia Tech glorifying murder at the site of the worst shooting massacre on U.S. soil," Gibson continued. Can some please produce a set list for Nas' VA Tech performance? The segment featured Allhiphop founder Chuck Creekmur and SOHH CEO Felicia "signs my check" Palmer as expert panelists. "Chuck, what's going on with Nas," Gibson asked. "I thought there was a memo that went out, [that] we're not using this word anymore." We? Is Gibson confessing to something? [Watch Video Here] In addition to using Bill O'Reilly's "murder, death, kill" Nas clip as an argument, the segment featured a quote from Reverend Jesse Jackson, denouncing Nas for his use of the word. Esco has since respectfully advised Jackson to "fall back." WHERE THE HELL IS WALDO, I MEAN CAM'RON??? The Harlemite has kept pretty quiet since announcing a hot summer earlier this year. Dude must have swam one too many laps in his"@#*$ing pool in the back." Cam was supposed to get off vacation June 1st. It's October-freaking 19. Word is even his comrades have had a hard time locating the rapper. Well, the good folks at MTV recently posted a comical video featuring Killa conversing with a friend by what could be a Porsche. According to MTV, another video clip featured Cam, sporting Army fatigues and a soldier's helmet, walking through a cemetery. Killa is expected to drop his Public Enemy mixtape soon. Mr. Giles reportedly addresses the Dipset tension on the tape's intro. Meanwhile, he's said to be shopping a new deal for his long delayed Killa Season follow-up. The pink panther hopes to drop the album in 2008's first quarter. Looks like it's gonna be a cold winter for everybody. LIL' WAYNE DEMANDS RESPECT.....FOR HIS DADDY. Apparently Lil' Wayne is the talk of the BET Hip-Hop Awards. Sure, you've seen Wayne holding that doggone 'lean cup right next to his daughter. You saw him stand still onstage acting like he was spitting something profound and you may have seen him do his best rock star impersonation during Playa Circle's "Duffle Bag boy" performance. But a few things weren't shown during the telecast. According to sources present during the show, Weezy addressed all the Baby backlash during his acceptance speech for Viewer's Choice Award. "This award is for my daddy. Respect it, n*gga!" Sure thing Dwayne. FREE T.I. Surprises, surprise! Free T.I. t-shirts have already surfaced online. While the self-proclaimed "king of the south" is set for a court hearing today, word is spreading that Mr. Harris could be freed, but put on house arrest. Peace to Gyant on the report. However, Ludacris and T.I. were just performing together this past weekend. Let's hope he's not lighting up any buddah bless. G-UNIT IS BACK!!!! It looks like 50 may be heading towards his second straight Soundscan defeat this year. Word is G-Unit is scheduled to hit stores with Shoot To Kill, its sophomore LP on December 18. Isn't Weezy scheduled to hit stores the same day? If not, he should move his release to that slot. It'll be interesting to see how much attention G-Unit can generate for a collective effort. But don't count the group out just yet. Earlier this year, Buck told SOHH that "Dead Wrong" and "Never Snitch," two stand out tracks left on Buck The World's cutting room, were slated to appear on the Unit's joint effort. STARS AND PIONEERS WEIGH IN ON LL Vs. JAY-Z. The battle may never take place. But it didn't prevent for the likes of T-Pain, Nelly and Lupe Fiasco and KRS-One to contemplate the possibility of the two legends facing off. Ice-T and Kool Moe Dee, two of Uncle L's former adversaries, even offered their two cent on the rumored clash of the titans. Source: sohh |

Wanye is very popular in the black community, but on a global scale he can't touch G-Unit. I personally guarantee that if they release on the same day, G-Unit will win that battle.
