Not yet...That's going to be hard to tell for a while. There is so many other countries that these albums are in that it's hard to really get a count. I think that those numbers that came from the Universal Music website are closer to the truth.

You're right, but a check is a check and at the end of the day....a platinum album comes from sales all across the world, not just the US. Kanye may be outselling him in the US, but truthfully...which album do you hear more of on the radio and in the clubs? 50! My friend that's a DJ told me that he first played "Stronger" in the club and it didn't bring many people to the dance floor. He then played "I Get Money" as soon as stronger went off and the whole dance floor lit up. People and media seem to forget that records sell far beyond the 1st week. I think that 50 has way more bangers and singles on his album than Kanye. I'm not hating because I think Kanye has a classic album.....But people want to dance, have a good time and forget their problems.

Guys, read up on mediatraffic.de and worldwidealbums.tk

They do not use official numbers for all countries. Outside of top 5 countries sales are estimated and given different weights based on past experiences. They are nowhere near correct. For example Nelly Furtados album totals are off by 2 million on those sites. The sites dont take into account several countries etc. Vivendi would have a better idea of who sold what worldwide compared to some internet geeks who are estimating numbers trying to make money off of the ads on their website.
