Rapper T.I. can add another plaque to his wall now that his fourth album for Atlantic Records, T.I. vs T.I.P., has gone Platinum by selling more than 1 million copies, according to the August report of Gold and Platinum certifications by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Additionally, the Now That’s What I Call Music! series continues its Platinum streak with volume 25. Its forerunner, Now That’s What I Call Music! 24, also achieved Gold and Platinum status in August.

On the Gold side, Bon Jovi's Lost Highway has hit the mark by selling more than 500,000 copies. This certification marks Bon Jovi’s 12th certified album with a total of more than 33.5 million albums sold to date. Gym Class Heroes also scored their first Gold record for their 2006 release, As Cruel as School Children. Their hit single, “Cupid’s Chokehold,” was also certified as a Platinum digital single last month, selling more than 1 million downloads.

Boys Like Girls also received their first RIAA certification with their single, “The Great Escape,” which went Gold. And more than 1 million people now have "Crazy Bitch" as their ringtone since Buckcherry's infectious song was certified as a Platinum mastertone.
