Check out xxl's advance warning for the tracklistings for Ja Rule and Cassidys albums. They both dont look that good.

Ja Rule, all tracks,

Nether of them look good, Ja has no production on this album at all, and nether has any hot features. Eric Searmon and Irv Gotti are the biggest producers on JAs album.

For Ja's album, big production really don't mean shit. You can get the same quality beat from a small producer at a cheaper price then you could from a big producer at a larger price.

As for Cassidy's album, how does it not have any hot features? Beanie Sigel, Fabolous, John legend, Bone thugs, and Swizz.

Dont think so, if this is the real deal, then it looks awful, Game and Wayne are the only features, and look at the production, Channel 7? Fucking Irv, E. Searmon are the only producers who people no, no Storch,Timbo, etc, nobody, and Cassidy's shit looks like shit too.

You can't judge by features and production. Big producers don't mean shit and just because you don't have many features don't mean you can't have hot songs. There are plenty of hot albums out there with little to no features.

First, maybe you call haveing Beanie who nobody cares about, John Legend and Bone Thugs hot features, but I dont. And yeah, you can get hot ass beats from producers who arent big, but that dont help sell your record. For 1, big name producers usually do hot beats, not always, but it helps you sell. When your on 106 talking about your album, and you say, I got a song that is so crazy, its producer by Storch, or Timb, or Dre it makes people want to hear it, it sounds crazy, but when you say i got a crazy song produced by Channel 7, it dont make people say I need to hear that. Its clear what Ja is doing, cause he can get the Storch, Timb beats, but since sales are down, his last album flopped, his career has been dead for years, that single with Wayne aint doing much, he probably feels that they aint gonna spend there budget spending all that money for Timb, Storch, Cool and Dre.

What does it matter if anybody cares about Beanie or not? That says nothing about the quality. And neither does what going to help sell your record or not. What does having a big producer to help sell your album have to do with the quality of the album(which is what I am talking about)? Everything your saying has to do with sales and promotion and nothing to do with quality.

Yeah it does. RIght now, its just words on paper, not music, so right now all you can go by is who is on it, and who produced it, so right now, I would rather see a tracklist that says Dre, Timb, Storch etc then Channel 7 and Rod Steele or whatever. Thats all that I can go by right now, and right now, not that I like Ja or anything, but that tracklist looks awful, terrible, not saying that his shit would be crazy hot if it said Storch, and Cool and Dre, but I would have to think that it might be ok if they were producing on the album.
