08/08/07 - Sorry for the wait....50 and Ciara tidbit

I honestly didnt mean to build anything up too much….I was just busy and didnt get to tell you guys about the convo with 50….

Ok, so here’s all it was….

Last week, 50 called (via our mutual friend who is one of 50’s inner circle) basically just to chat about random music business stuff that he’s working on. He had just returned from Europe and wanted to chat about his new online competition on youtube. And 50 made sure to point out the intricacies of his deal with youtube, which allow him to get credited for any videos that have his name in the keywords….and of course 50 gloated about how because of this clause, Cam’ron’s “Cuuurtis” video actually helped 50’s youtube status and helped him leverage more collaborations with youtube (for example, youtube will feature 50 predominantly on their homepage when his album comes out).

Then we started chatting about the infamous MTV Hottest MCs List, and he seemed totally amused about all the heated debate. 50 also said that he wasn’t mad about being ranked #8 because he doesn’t expect the media to give him the credit he deserves, and he doesnt care. But then we had a little chat about certain other rappers on that list who care oh so much about media ranking and Fortune Magazine lists and perception perception perception, lol…..But we both agreed that The Game was an odd choice for #3. (for me its just odd timing. the guy hasnt even had an active single in 6 months) 50 said Kanye or Jeezy should have been #3.

So we kept yapping about random stuff….celebrity couples etc. Usher and Tameka (I swear, lol)….and then 50 laughed off the rumors that popped up while he was in Europe about him and Ciara breaking up. But the funniest part of the conversation was when I asked 50 how his house-hunt is going. (He recently put his Mike Tyson mansion up for sale) 50 said, he’s still selling the CT house, and when I asked where he was looking to move….(I’m thinking he’s gonna say Alpine, NJ where all the athletes live, or Tribeca, where the cool young money lives, or maybe somewhere else in CT like Greenwich, where all the white Wall St. moguls live)…and 50 says “Yeah, I think I might buy something in Atlanta….I was in Buckhead the other day, and it’s real nice out there….You seen Evander Holyfield’s spot? Its crazy….You can really get alot of land….property value…could buy a huge place…3-4 million, yadda yadda yadda…..”

So I just had to stop the charade right there…..”um, you’re really gonna try to convince me that you’re looking to move to Atlanta…..for the property value? Yeah, right!” lol…. And good for 50, he laughed at his own slip, said, “Oops, I forgot who I was talking to,” and proceeded to run with the joke. “Yeah, Atlanta is a good real estate bargain….and I hear there’s alot of music business goin on there….I just happened to stop there on tour….I like eating at Waffle House…” Lol, funny guy, that Curtis. Y’all know I appreciate celebs with a sense of humor.

So that’s all, 50 is looking to move to Atlanta (or at least have a side spot for his quality cici-time). Which is more than Vivica got out of her brief jaunt in the amusement park, lol…I think she scored a ruby Rolex.

She don't always make up shit. Who was the first one to report on the Cam/jim jones beef? And she has never lied about having an interview with an artist(which is what this thread is basically about) so why should this be closed?

As for the 50 and Ciara rumor somebody above said, she was wrong but its not like she was making shit up. 50 and Ciara was leading the rumors on. Just listen to Ciara's response to wether or not she was dating 50 on 106. She was trying to get around the answer.
