MTV News: Hottest MCs In The Game

50 Cent, Nas, Gucci Mane, Ludacris? Ask yourself: Who is your favorite rapper right now? Not only who is your favorite, but who is the nicest on the mic and who is running the game?

Well, we tried to bring some type of structure to the question. The MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust has sat down for a fourth time. Following Greatest Hip-Hop Albums, solo MCs and groups of all time, this time, they didn't focus on the cumulative achievements of long careers, but rather on who's hot today. Get your irate e-mails ready! The debate starts on Monday, July 23, at MTVnews.com and continues for the rest of the week, leading up to the big reveal on Sunday, July 29, when "The Hottest MCs In The Game" premieres on MTV2 at 2 p.m. — at the same time, the top 5 will be revealed online for the first time!

Starting the very next day, on July 30, look for our honorable mentions as well as more reactions from the fans and even some of the artists. There are no right and wrong answers, our list is not perfect, nor do we claim it to be. We just love to talk about hip-hop amongst ourselves and with all of you. Get ready!

amusment park was number one on 106 and park and got more radio play then all of games records.while game never even made the countdown

I hope the list picks from street emcees,commercial, underground, and positive emcees. Ok, i guess i mean commercial and underground. Seems like it is point towards the most popular ones at the moment, which is a first.
