HIP HOP star Lloyd Banks' debut Bahrain concert tonight will be the biggest the country has ever seen, the show's organisers said yesterday.

A member of fan favourite group G-Unit, the rapper first came to prominence in 2003, when he featured on 50 Cent's remix to PIMP, that also featured rhymes by the members of G-Unit and rap legend Snoop Dogg.

He started rapping at a very young age and has been rocking hip hop arenas with childhood friends 50 Cent, Tony Yayo and Young Buck for more than a decade.

With the release of G-Unit's multi-platinum debut album Beg for Mercy soon after the release of the PIMP remix, the crew members were transformed into instant stars.

His debut album The Hunger for More, was released in July 2004 and was boosted in part by the catchy single On Fire.

Raking in $2 million (BD.756m) in sales, the track is one of hip hop's biggest all time sellers.

In 2005, Banks was awarded Mixtape Artist of the Year, alongside DJ Whoo Kid who in turn, won Best Mixtape DJ of the Year.

His second album, Rotten Apple released last October, features one of his most famous tracks to date Hands Up.

Banks also won 2004's Mixtape Artist of the Year title at the Mixtape awards.

The event will also feature performances by DJ Dir T as warm up DJ and Ali G tribute act UK-based rapper Ray Wade.

Tickets are priced at BD15 for regular entry, BD35 for VIP and BD45 for VIP joint tickets, which include free access to the after party tomorrow night at Club 7.

The After Party will be hosted by DJ Shadia of Lebanon, the hostess of the 5th Element radio show.

Lynx Experience promises a great show full of entertainment and surprises.

The show's sponsors include Orbit, Gulf Hotel, Bahrain this Month, Coeds Magazine, Picasso, Phoenix, Radio Bahrain, Evian, and Freeze.

I Really Liked Rotten Apple, I Wouldnt Fix Anything On The Album, The Album Was A Breathe Of A Fresh Air For Hip Hop. He Represented Ny To The Fullest, Lyric Wise And Beat Wise, Album Was Grimey As Fuck.

I Read A Interview He Did A Couple Of Months Ago And He Said He Was Already 12 Tracks Into His New Album, So Im Looking Forward To Hearin His New Shit.
