06/06/07 - Justin Timberlake Signs YouTube Sensation To Interscope Imprint

Dutch singer Esmee Denters is reportedly the first signee to Justin Timberlake's recently launched imprint, Tennman Records.

Denters gained popularity in the past nine months garnering over 21 million hits via YouTube, where she covered songs from Beyonce [Watch Here], John Legend and Mariah Carey. The eighteen-year-old crooner was featured in the March issue of Billboard magazine and was labeled "the next best thing."

Denters has already begun work on her debut album and has worked with former Destiny's Child member, Kelly Rowland.

"[Kelly] had a song that she felt fitted my voice really well, so she helped me in singing the song," Denters revealed in a recent Dutch TV interview." [Watch Here]

According to Billboard, Denters will serve as the opening act for a handful of Timberlake's upcoming European shows to help position her for an album release later this year.

"Esmee is a remarkable talent with a story that anyone with a dream can relate to," said Tennman president Ken Komisar. "It is no wonder she has such an enthusiastic following already."

Tennman Records is a joint venture between Timberlake and Interscope Records.
