I FORGOT! RHIANNA’S PARTY!

Over the weekend, Sunday to be exact Rihanna had a party to celebrate her new cover of GIANT magazine. Or maybe it was GIANT that was having the party for their new ish. At any rate, Rihanna partied through the night with all the revelers at Sugar out in Los Angeles. It was pretty good too and the party flowed well into the night from what I’ve been told. I heard Jay-Z showed up, but didn’t stay very long. In fact, rumor had it the press was a bit upset at Hovie for not stopping for some interviews. But, they had a few stars in the house. Sticky Fingaz was there. So was Chris Tucker, who danced with the commoners. Lil’ Fizzroid was there, I heard. And, the main chick from the Pussy Cat Dolls was there as well. I think her name is Nicole.

AMY WINEHOUSE TO RETIRE

Amy says she's gonna retire and I say, "No, No, No!" Yeah, that's the word, everybody. Amy Winehouse is talking about she's going to retire after only two albums so she can be a great mother and wife? Huh? Well, if you don't know, she married this fellow Blake Fielder-Civil in Miami last month and is ready to throw in the towel to be domestic. I'm not saying that she can't be a mother…in fact, I have no right to say anything, but in my selfishness, I'm not ready for her to leave. So, stay. Anyway, she told Rolling Stone, "I'm a caretaker and I want to enjoy myself and spend time with my husband. ... Blake and I didn't get to spend any time together for a long time. I know I'm talented, but I wasn't put here to sing. I was put here to be a wife and a mom and look after my family."

The Rev. Al Sharpton has brought his campaign to clean up hip-hop lyrics to Motown (Detroit), and organizers hope to collect thousands of bars of soap as symbols of the effort. The bars of soap will be donated to shelters and halfway houses for women, organizers said.

This is the latest from our beloved Civil Rights leader Al Sharpton? I’m not sure what this is all about, but it’s pretty corny to say the least. This appears to be a direct attack on Hip-Hop, not the companies. Al’s doing a lil’ tight-rope walk and utilizing street team tactics to get a lil’ press. Let’s get press from helping the kids in Chicago, Baltimore, Delaware, Los Angeles, Newark, Brooklyn and all the other places! Shooooooot…I’m trying to give Al a fair shake, but I’m close to doing an editorial and airing it out!!!!! Use all that stupid soap to clean up the streets. Give the sisters money and education and housing…not some damn, stupid soap. What an insult!

OH BOY…IS AKON IN TROUBLE AGAIN?

I think Akon might be in some hot water, if mediatakeout is right on this. The singer might have possibly injured a man that allegedly threw something at the singer from the stage. Again…this isn’t verified. However, at a festival, the singer is trying to do his thing and share a story about when he first came to the United States. He is interrupted by somebody that strikes him with something from the crowd. The crowd immediately snitches on the culprit and it went down a lil like this:

Akon: “What was that? Who was that over there…point him out. Go get him. Yeah, you made a big mistake…we don’t do that s**t. Tell him to come here. I want him to get on stage. Bring him up here.”

Akon then removes his wife beater and his icy chain. The dude gets on the stage and Akon scoops him with the greatest of ease and tosses the guy in the crowd! Now this dude flies into the crowd, but nobody seems to catch him when he hits the ground! Akon seems to want to get the concert going, but before he can…he peeps homey and says:

“He’s OK…He’s alright.”

Now, rumor has it, the guy might have broken and arm or two. I’m not sure, to be honest. Some theorize that it’s a fraud and it was scripted, because of the ease in which he “allowed” himself to be tossed into the rabid crowd.

My boy hit me up live from the R.Kelly party recently and told me that Pac Man Jones was buggin’ out at the R’s party. He allegedly threw bottles into the crowd for no reason at all and hit random people while Kellz was performing! I heard he got in this guy’s face and a fight almost ensued - almost ruining a perfectly good R.Kelly performance. There was more to this, but I guess its best to be left off the page, eh?
