THE ROC TAKEOVER!?!

Now, on the Hip-Hop tip, Roc-A-Fella still has one of the tightest talent rosters. But, when are they coming out? Well, I've heard of the "Takeover" tour, but I heard a lot of these artists are actually coming out this year. Kanye, Foxy Young Chris of the Young Gunz, M Dot Bleek, Peedi Peedi, Freeway, and Tru Life are all possible rappers to hit this year. Some are more possible than others, but it might be a hot summer.

Why the "might?"

I don't know, but there is another buzz coming out of the halls of The Roc. More on that later.

FOXY - AGAIN?

According to the NY Daily News, police were in Brooklyn after a young mother claimed Foxy Brown almost ran over her and her baby in a silver Range Rover. The baby was in a stroller, but it didn't have bumpers on it! According to the DMV, Foxy's license is totally revoked. “I jumped back, pulling the stroller, and yelled at the driver, ‘You should watch where you’re going!’” she said. “She cursed at me and proceeded to drive down Prospect Place. I called the police, but they said that they couldn’t do anything because she didn’t actually hit me.” Looks like another bogus report! Rock of Fox and stay out of trouble!

50 CENT TO WARNER

Hmmmmm...I never thought of this one. If you know the deal, Kevin Black is a big dog that used to work over at Interscope, but recently defected to Warner. Well, I heard a rumor that KB is trying to woo 50 Cent over the WB with buddy Jim Jones, TI, Cam'ron and a bunch of other artists. Time will reveal the truth...

LIL' CEASE STRIPPING...FROM BEEF?

Somebody hit me up and told me that the leak of Lil' Cease's lil' strip in front of those dudes and ladies is the result of some beef. Now, I don't know what malicious person would let that rabbit out of the hat, but WHEW. Anyway, the footage originates on Cocaine City, a DVD, and, rumors suggest that it was put out, because of friction between Lil' Cease and French. I don't know French, but I heard he's from the crew at Cocaine City. There was a movie called Life After Death: The Movie ( formerly Conspiracy: Ten Years Later) and CC had the trailer on his DVD. I guess French was siding with D-Roc and Lil' Kim, who didn't talk to the police or in court. I'm not dissing Cease, but we all know he took a different route. Anyway, rumor has it there is more footage for the world to see of Cease and this strip stuff. as you might have seen, it was only a few seconds long. Stop the madness. Nobody wants to see Cease's willie wonka.

NAS SKIPS CROATIA?

You all know that Nas skipped out on a show in Cali due to what he saw as racism, right? Well, Rumor has it, Nas dipped on Croatia for a different reason. According to my boy Brek's, Nas' team had safety concerns and left a lot of fans disappointed. It was a spot called Aquarius. Brek told me, "Everybody went bananas when they heared that Nas was supposed to do show here. Everybody was hyped, saving their money for a ticket, looking for a fresh clothes, buying a camera to capture the moment, because we don't get that many high profile rap artists here to perform."

Here is the interesting thing. DJ Premier hollar'd At Phat Phillie in Croatia and tried to get Nas to reconsider saying that the region was "the most incredible place." Obviously, I wasn't there to here the convo, but Preemo reportedly bigged up Croatia. He even said it was Big L that put him on to the area. Interesting.

FROM DIPSET TO TRAPSET - DIPSET SOUTH!

There is a crew called Trapset from North Carolina, Durham to be exact. Anyway, apparently this group is going to be one of the first groups on Dipset South. They hail from the same city Freekey Zekey was locked down in. Late last year Freekey spoke in various articles about the start up of Dipset South. The rumors in NC are pretty heavy even thought nothing seems to be in stone like Sharon. LOL. Didn't that sound like a Young Jeezy lyric?

FLAVOR FLAV OUT WITH SUPPOSED BABY MOMS!

This was cool. Flav didn't even perform. Cool. Deelishus eat your heart out! Flav's with his baby moms! LOL! (Oh yeah..Brock told me this was in Las Vegas too!)

ULTIMATE BET FIGHTING?

YO! BET might be stepping it up in a big way if this rumor is correct! Jye hipped me to the Black TV Network's latest plan - Ultimate Fighting! The name of the show is called "Iron Ring." Somebody else called it "a ghetto UFC show," which I find highly offensive...that is unless it is ghetto. Anyway, they got celebs that are managing teams of fighters. I heard there are rappers and such that are going to "sponsor" teams. For example, I heard Novell G. Bell aka "The Black Taoist" is going to be the trainer for the alleged Dipset team! Most of the fighters are going to be Black, which will be interesting. At least they didn't do a show called "Urban Shoot-out," where contestants try to kill each other.

QUICKIES

I heard that Mysterious from Da Band has a major label deal called Life After Da Band.

Oh, I failed to mention that Foxy Brown's rumored comeback song is "I Never Left" featuring Ne-Yo. Interesting.

Don't forget the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival this year! Large Professor has just been added to the bill. He joins Ghostface, Skillz, Consequence, Dres of Black Sheep and others!

Shanita, one of the military homies, told me that they love Hip-Hop in Turkey. She said a Turkish cab driver was bumpin' MC Hammer - the Death Row album! Crazy!

Miss Sophia is on the Frankski and Wanda morning show. Also Miss Sophia is a he, but prefers to be called a "she."

ZRO & LIL' FLIP... and BILL WITHERS!

Zro gets out on July 9th, 2007. He's already starting on the welcome home parties and all that. "Lovely Day" is the first single with Lil' Flip. Now, I know for a fact that Bill Withers doesn't let people sample his music if there are negative connotations on the song. Think this will get by? I don't Zro!

Remember this rumor I had for you? "Former Bad Boy rapper Loon has reportedly been arrested during a video shoot in Tanzania, based on my intel. The rapper allegedly punched a man on the set.." Well the rumor was Loon even went to jail while out in Tanzania. The whole vid was shot in the capital city of Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar and Bagamoyo in Tanzania, East Africa.
