Nelly is determined to get Bruce Springsteen to collaborate with him, but that's if he can convince the Boss to get into the studio with him. The rapper is reportedly excited about getting Springsteen, especially since his single "Over & Over" featuring Tim McGraw was such a massive crossover hit. Producer and friend Jermaine Dupri told MTV, "I think he's doing a record with Bruce Springsteen. You know. he always has to do one of those." According to Dupri, he's produced two records for Nelly's next record and they will feature some unexpected collabos, but he would not let them out the bag. ...

Beanie Sigel has publically ousted former label boss Damon Dash for courting the rapper after the Roc-A-Fella split between Jay-z and Dash in 2005, calling his intentions "insincere". During the split, all artists on the label were given the option to either stay with Roc-A-Fella or sign with another company, and while Sigel ultimately chose to stay, he was regularly seen together with Dash, prompting rumors he had settled a deal with the Damon Dash Music Group. Sigel denies this was the case and blames Dash for using him as a PR stunt to raise the profile of his own label. "I don't know what his intentions were, but in all honesty, nah (his intentions were not pure)," Sigel told MTV recently. "A lot of people thought I was leaning toward Dame Dash Music Group -- they seeing Dame in the videos we shooting and him coming to court and coming to jail to see me. It was like, 'OK, Dame is riding with him.' That was never the case with me. A lot of people look at it like Dame did this, that and third, that should have been my obligation. But for what? If you doing that, you doing it from the heart." "I'm no dummy, I'm no fool. I seen through all that. I was letting that weigh out," he continued. In late March the singer confirmed rumors that he had moved back to Roc-A-Fella Records after he held his birthday party at Jay-z's 40/40 Club in New York with several of the Roc's artists in attendance including Jay-z. Mike Jones second LP, The American Dream, has been pushed from this month to July 10. The rapper, who became a star after his heavy self-marketing tactic of giving out his cell number, is now giving fans another way to reach him -- via email @ AskMikeJones@gmail.com. "There were many times where my friends (fans) couldn't get through [on the phone]," Jones said in a statement. "With the e-mail address, it will be much easier for me to communicate with them." Jones said his Blackberry "is always with me." ...

Claiming to be distraught and going through financial problems at the time that he couldn't afford a lawyer, Bobby Brown filed papers in California's Orange County Superior Court last week challenging the terms of his April 24 divorce from Whitney Houston, according to MTV. Specifically, the former pop star is trying to fight a judge's decision to grant physical and legal custody of the divorced couple's 14-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, to Houston. MSNBC reports (citing papers obtained by "Access Hollywood") that Brown claims that after he split from Houston last year, he was so emotionally and financially distressed that he was essentially homeless and couldn't get it together to respond to Houston's petition for divorce. The papers claim that, "Whitney repeatedly assured Bobby that he need not file a response and that reconciliation was possible," and that, "Whitney did so at a time when she knew that Bobby was particularly vulnerable." A June 15 court date has been set for Brown's new case. ...

So much so that they have pushed the release date for Epiphany up to June 5, one week before its original release date. ... Houston rap legends, UGK, will be in Los Angeles this week to shoot the video for "Int'l Players Anthem" with Outkast and longtime 'Kast director Bryan Barber. ...

Former Destiny's Child member, Kelly Rowland, has got a new release date after being pushed back several times. Her highly anticipated solo album is now due for release July 3. It features production from Polow Da Don, Sean Garrett, Tank, Scott Storch, Rockwilder, SoulShock and Karlin, and Billy Man. ...

Cypress Hills' DJ Muggs will be teaming up with former House Of Pain frontman Everlast this Friday (May 18) at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada for a live mashup show -- Muggs via the turntables, and Everlast on guitar and vocals. The show will be a combination of originals, covers, and live mashups, according to a press release. "It's the here and now of what me and Everlast have been doing our whole career, which is bridging the worlds of rock and hip-hop," said Muggs, who also hosts Mash-Up Radio, a top rated show on Sirius Shade 45. Everlast is currently in the studio working on his new solo LP. ...

Legendary Houston DJ OG Ron C celebrated two decades of making music with a four-day-long celebration in his hometown from Thursday through Sunday (May 10 - May 13). Slim Thug, Killer Mike and Dead Prez's Stic.man were among the celebs who attended the various parties and music-conference panels Ron C -- known for his mixtapes and chopping and screwing album -- staged over the weekend. On Saturday (May 12), the DJ was presented with a certificate from the city in honor of his 20 years in the business. ...
