Rappers David Banner and The Game will participate in T-Mobile's "T-Music Hip Hop Jam Festival" in North Bohemia, Czech Republic on Aug. 3 and 4. The event, which takes place at the Mimo airport, will also feature twenty of the most respected urban DJ's, including the Black Star DJ's, Platinum Soul DJ's, Farmhood Fellaz, War Trak Possee, Blind Deaf DJ's and others. Coffee rooms, cocktail bars and other places will be available for entertainment during the event, which will also include the "Battle Zone," an exhibition space for fans of break dancing and street dancing. Contrary to printed reports, MTV has not banned the video for 50 Cent's new single "Amusement Park," taken from his upcoming album Curtis S.S.K. (Soundscan Killa). According to sources, the video simply went through a standard editing process for MTV. The network will premiere two videos by 50 Cent in the coming weeks. On May 17, MTV's TRL will debut the video for the single "Straight to the Bank," while "Amusement Park" is slated to debut on Monday (May 21).
The Zomba Label Group is the first ever label to own the Top Three spots on the Billboard Hot Ringmasters Chart. T-Pain's "Buy U A Drank" sits at #1, Huey's "Pop, Lock & Drop It" is at #2 and R. Kelly's "I'm A Flirt (Remix)" holds the #3 position. T-Pain's "Buy U A Drank" is taken from his upcoming sophomore album Epiphany, which hits stores June. 5. The single has occupied the top of the chart for five weeks and has surpassed the million mark in ringtone sales in four weeks.
Rapper Coolio has been tapped to headline the Luton international Carnival in the United Kingdom. The rapper will take the stage on May 28 and will perform older hit singles like "Fantastic Voyage" and "Gangsta's Paradise." Coolio, who has sold over 27 million records across the world, will also perform songs from his new upcoming album, The Return of the Gangsta. “We are really excited that one of America’s most successful hip hop rappers will be our headline act at the Luton International Carnival," said Fahim Qureshi, arts development manager. "Where else can you see such a multitalented entertainer for free?" The carnival parade is expected to attract more than 100,000 people from more than 50 different groups, from clubs, schools, societies and communities.
