BET has announced its star studded line-up of performers to be included in this year's "Spring Bling '07" spring break special.

Adopting the theme of "This is why we're hot," "Spring Bling '07" is scheduled to begin taping at SingersIsland at Riviera Beach in West Palm Beach, FL this upcoming weekend (March 23-25). "Spring Bling" is in its seventh year and is expected to draw thousands of spring breakers from all across the country for the 3-day festival. The event will feature performances from some of hip-hop and R&B's A-list acts including Akon, Remy Ma, Pretty Ricky, MIMS, Mike Jones, Cherish, UNK, Marques Houston, Bobby Valentino and DJ Khaled among others. The festivities will be hosted by various BET personalities including Terrance and Rocsi ("106 & Park") and Big Tigger.

The network, which has previously held Spring Bling in Daytona Beach, decided to switch the location for this year's event. "With a crowd expectancy of over 3,000 college students, we also hope to express our thanks by adding an economic boost to the area," said BET executive vice president of Music Programming, Stephen Hill of the network's new West Palm Beach location.

In addition to the performances, the weekend will include various shows and activities including an MC battle, step competition, fashion show and car expo. The shows will premiere on the network starting April 5 at 8 p.m. EST and continuing until April 8.
