According to sources close to artist, 50 Cent is extremely nervous over the potential sales for his next opus “Before I Self Destruct”. Perception has always been the driving focus of 50, having long been notorious for his somewhat egomaniacal fixation on his sales statistics. Recent less-than-stellar sales of his G-Unit label have sent the usually cool 50 into a frenzy.

“50 has burned a lot of bridges in the industry and does not want to be forced back down that ladder,” says a source.

It seems Mr. Jackson has been in constant e-mail contact with Interscope Prez Jimmy Iovine, negotiating back and forth over the budget for promotion of the forthcoming LP. Iovine has apparently lost faith in the rapper’s ability to do the monstrous numbers needed to justify the budget he’s asking for and has tired of his publicity-fueled antics in both public and private.

Now 50 has apparently gone and done the unthinkable, telling people close to him that Universal Music Group CEO Doug Morris could easily end up on his proverbial “hit lest” if a certain amount of records are not shipping during that all-important 1st week and sales are not properly “inflated” to par.

I wouldn't be suprised if this is on his mind. It really isn't far fetched. He can sound cocky and confident all he wants, he can tell his gullable fans whatever he wants. That doesn't mean things are going to be steller or good for him. It doesn't mean his album will sell out millions again either. They got house hold/big names like him that can barely push gold now. Just because he's 50, doesn't mean he can't or won't end up with the same fate. If he really does have the corporate white folk CEOs on his "hit list" (or whatever), he's only deading himself something serious. They hold his strings, and they can cut his lights off and he won't have no career or be rich anymore.
