RZA Sued For Breach Of Contract

Wu Tang Clan's RZA is reportedly being sued by the United Talent Agency (UTA) for allegedly breaching a contract for his work on the soundtrack for "Blade: Trinity".

According to TMZ.com, the suit, which was filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday (September 22), alleges that RZA (born Robert Diggs) did not pay the money he owed the Agency for procuring employment for him with New Line Productions.

UTA claims that RZA made $430,000 for his work on the soundtrack and they are entitled to $43,000 (their customary 10% commission). UTA is seeking the $43,000 plus interest.

In related news, RZA will be composing the soundtrack for "Afro Samurai," an animated series set to premiere on Spike TV this fall.

The series is based on a Talashi Okazaki novel of the same name and tells the story of a black samurai (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) searching for the gunman who killed his father.
