Method Man Not Dropped From Def Jam

Despite rumors that Method Man has been dropped by Island Def Jam, the emcee is still with the legendary label, according to sources.

Rumors recently began spreading that Meth was dropped from IDJ due to low album sales. Meth's independent reps and a Def Jam spokesperson both denied the rumors.

In recent months, the Shaolin emcee has been quite vocal on his discontent with the label and his current President, Sean "Jay-Z" Carter. In a recent interview with SOHH, Meth further fueled the rumors of his possible departure by praising the independent route.

Meth recently dropped his fourth Def Jam release, 4:21...The Day After. The album sold 62,300 units in its first week, marking his lowest numbers since recording with the label.

To date, he has dropped three other albums: 1994's Tical, 1998's Tical 2000: Judgment Day and 2004's Tical 0: The Prequel.

Def Jam spent $0.00 dollars to promote his album. They didn't even let Method Man sit in on meetings about his own dam project. All the promo has been out of Method Man's pocket so far. A lot of you might say that he should spend some money on a video, not much, maybe around $100,000. Well thats stupid cause that will just make Def Jam money and barely any money for Meth.

Yea Somebody posted that he was dropped yesterday I think..but yea I dnt know if its a good thing that he still on Def Jam or if he leaves...Im thinking its better if he leaves bcuz ya boi go absolutely 0 promotion for his shit..nobody's seen a video and i havent really heard a song off that bitch..hopefully things get tho
