There are alot of people who've put alot on the success of Lupe Fiasco. Some have gone as far to say he is the one man who can "save" hip-hop right now. Regardless, it can't be a bad thing to have the Chi-Town wonderkind's music reach the masses with all the dumbing down of hip-hop in the past couple years (or decade if you prefer). According to reports Food & Liquor should open up with around 90,000 units on Soundscan, a solid opening week that should put him on his way to a gold record...

Its no secret that Diddy has enlisted some of hip-hop's finest to pen his upcoming album Press Play. It has certainly raised some eyebrows to imagine Puff spitting lyrics penned by the likes of Common, Black Thought, Talib Kweli and Pharoahe Monch. Afterall, he has never been one on the conscious tip. In particular, Pharoahe Monch raised the most curiousity as his rhymes are written to be delivered with his inimitable style. The Future, a Havoc produced track has leaked from Diddy's album, and if it isn't the most blatantly obvious ghostwriting in the history of music I don't know what is. Shit, he's even got Pharoahe's enunciation down...

Lupe`s CD was hot...could have had better beats and hooks..that would have got more ears but he deserves platinum for all his hard work and not a brick.

Shows you how fucked up music is at the moment. Game and Banks should be on the top 10 of the charts buy they not and Busta bricked with obie which is messed up as well.

Lupe's album is definitely hot, should've had more material that wasn't already leaked, but it's definitely a good solid album, I just wish I hadn't heard 3/4s of it already...but definitely deserves good sales
