50 Cent Says Jay-Z Avoids Rap Beefs, "When Jadakiss Came For Him, He Put Beanie Sigel In Front"

50 Cent recently discussed Jay-Z's lack of competition when confronted by past rap rivals like Jadakiss and Cam'ron and pointed out how the rap mogul used his Roc-A-Fella artists to handle disputes.

Paying credit to Jay-Z's tactical moves, Fif used Beanie Sigel and Tru Life as examples of the rapper not wanting to get involved in a battle.

"Jay is a really smart guy," 50 explained in an interview with reporter Gina Torres. "He'll analyze other people and other things that they're doing and not actually look at what's happening to him and his transitions. Right now, he's in this really safe space. He created this safe aura -- it wouldn't be like that if he handled his issues himself. He's a piece of work, he always puts somebody in front of him. When Jada came for him, he put Beanie in front of him and Beanie went back and forth with Jadakiss. When Cam came for him, he put Tru Life in front of him and they went back and forth and he just didn't compete." (All Hip Hop)

50 recently discussed how Jay's rap image constantly changes.

"You can't be gangster Jay from Marcy and be the good guy Jay-Z on 'Oprah,'" Fif explained in an interview. "You just can't. They don't let you in. That's Mr. Knowles, he just got that pass. There ain't any tickets to an inauguration ball with n*ggas. If you're from the hood, you have that element or that aura around you, there's no tickets for you. It's 'safe' people there. This is why those things are happening. This is why he has to convince the person that he's talking to he's not afraid of anyone." (Complex)

While speaking with radio personality Trevor Nelson last month, Hov said no one should be intimidated by 50.

"I think he would have done that if that was 50 Cent, no one's scared of 50 Cent," Jay explained. "I want everybody to be clear, no one's scared of 50 Cent. So I just think that's what he believed. I think it was rude, I thought it was in appropriate. And I told him this much, but I don't think he was wrong." (BBC 1)

In addition to speaking on why Hov called out his image, Fif recently said incidents such as Lil Mama hopping on stage with the rapper would not occur.

"It's obvious that my music isn't recognized," Fif told radio personality Angie Martinez. "The art, itself, they don't like, look at the award shows, I've been nominated for 13 Grammys, and I have no trophies. That's why I made a statement about Taylor Swift. I said if I was actually up there, he wouldn't come take my trophy, Kanye West. And Jay disagrees. He should address the guy that made him feel like a punk, where he had to make it clear that nobody is scared of 50 Cent because that person was making it seem like maybe he's afraid, or Kanye West is afraid of 50 Cent and it wasn't 50 Cent and the public misinterprets it. See, what we have, like you know how rock n roll has punk rock? Hip-Hop has cool punk and Jay's the coolest punk in hip-hop. His presentation makes people decide to say, because he's big, he's big and his take on it is bigger than the actual art form so there are things that the artists will do like the battling has always been a part of the culture. I don't necessarily think avoiding beef is a bad thing, or uncessary beef anyway. We all dislike publicity stunt beef, so if it's genuine beef then fine but 90% of industry beef nowadays is fake or uncessary. Jay seemingly knows the difference, and is smart enough to realise he doesn't need this industry beef to promote his albums, his music, his aura and his legend promotes itself.

The Jay vs. Game beef is a tricky one, I don't think it's fake because it's been in the works for years now, but it has never became a serious beef for some reason. I know Game respects Jay-Z, that much is obvious as Game openly admits who he looks up to etc, but I'm not sure Jay respects Game. Maybe Game wants respect from Jay and feels the only way he'll get it is to go one-on-one with Jay and prove he can match him. Tall order, but if it ever does happen it'll be interesting.

You are wrong about one thing because you can be a great mc and avoid rap beef (''Slick Rick'')and another great mc''(Kool G Rap)''. You are also isolating 50 and making it seem like he is the victim when in reality both men had something to do with this back and forth battle of words. If 50 wants to be the better man, he needs to forget about what Jay-z says and promote his upcoming album because lately all his promotional tactics have not fared well.

I am not taking either man's side because they both have a stake in this back and forth and that is ''money'', the music industry is a ''i gotta get mines before you get yours'' business.
