50 Cent Finds His "Baby," Recruits Kelly Rowland For Music Video

50 Cent has decided to choose Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland to star in the music video for his upcoming single, "Baby By Me" which features Ne-Yo.

Although early speculation suggested the two were in a relationship, it was later discovered they are shooting Fif's latest music video together.

Getting cozy in what could be deemed an unexpected pairing, Kelly Rowland and 50 Cent linked up for a video shoot recently. While they're not dating, Rowland does appear as the leading lady in the rapper's "Baby By Me" music video. The new lead single from 50's Before I Self Destruct features Ne-Yo and is swiftly moving up the R&B/ Hip Hop songs chart. No word on when the video will premiere... although it should be soon. Ne-Yo informed fans of a music video being in the works late last week.

"Haven't been on in a couple of days," he wrote Friday (October 16) morning. "I've been gearing up for my b'day celebration which is this weekend and the Baby by me video with 50." (Ne-Yo's Twitter)

Speaking with radio personality Rickey Smiley earlier this month, Fif briefly touched on the song's overall feel.

"I went to the studio in LA and Polow [da Don] had already sampled his favorite part from 'I Get Money' in to the actual record," Fif explained in an interview. "And what's interesting, in hip-hop, we sample music a lot is traditional, but to sample our own lyrics? You know, it just felt like it was something new and I wrote something that was a little more sexual. There was an option to write love on a record, but that was kinda reserved for LL Cool J." (Rickey Smiley Show)

The Grammy-winning singer recently said Fif insisted on using his vocals on their joint record much to his surprise.

"He reached out," Ne-Yo revealed in an interview. "I always say he did the majority of the heavy lifting. [The song] was pretty much done by the time he sent it to me. He said, 'I just need you to put something on it.' He gave it to me, I wrote my part, sent it back and the rest is history. When he first sent me the joint, I was like, 'You don't need me for this,' I thought the beat was hot, what he was talking about was hot. I just tried to add to the hotness." (MTV)
