T.I., Lil Wayne and 50 Cent have all been confirmed to appear in VH1's upcoming revival of their "Behind The Music" series which is set to premiere later this month.

The series will kick off with the Young Money rapper's episode next week.

VH1 will premiere its' "Behind The Music" broadcast Thursday, September 10th at 10 p.m. with rap superstar Lil Wayne. A true hip-hop icon, Lil Wayne is candid in his discussion about the life that made him one of the most respected hip-hop artists in the industry, as he relays his first experiences with drugs, his introduction to Cash Money Records, and his amazing career highs. In the October 8th episode of "Behind The Music" airing at 10 p.m. T.I. describes the good and the bad of his life as a hip-hop superstar and how these experiences have helped him become the man he is today. 50 Cent will wrap up the series the following Thursday (October 13) at 8 p.m. Other artists include Bret Michaels, Bobby Brown and Pink. Wayne was one of the first artists to agree to appear in the upcoming series last March.

Lil Wayne and Scott Weiland have signed on to participate, with the network near agreements with several other artists. The cable network is ordering about 10 new episodes of "Music," bringing back the iconic documentary program that ran for several years on VH1 starting in 1997. (Billboard)

VH1 executives previously revealed the motivation behind the show's rebirth.

Jeff Olde, VH1 executive vice president, is adamant it's the right time for the show's return - insisting there are so many new and intriguing artists people want to know more about. He says, "It felt like the time is right. There's all sorts of new artists on the scene who have emerged and have these great stories. And there's other artists that we always wanted to do the first time around." (Yahoo News)

The in-depth program is known for looking at popular artists' personal lives, with past shows on The Notorious B.I.G., Outkast, Diddy and more.

VH1 stopped airing regular episodes of "BTM" in 2002, then aired only a few a year until 2006. In focus groups, VH1 found "BTM" is so deeply associated with the channel, some viewers assumed the series never left the air. The show's storytelling model of the meteoric rise, tragic fall and sober rebirth of an artist was so distinctive that "The Simpsons" devoted a 2000 episode to parodying the show.
