Cash Money Adds Diversity With Signing Of Indian Artist

Cash Money Records continues to add a plethora of colors to the landscape of their line up with the signing of Indian singer Jay Sean.

Seeking to capitalize off of the buzz generated by the Lil' Wayne assisted pop/dance hit Down, Jay Sean and Cash Money have teamed up in a deal that co-founder Ronald "Slim" Williams says will increase their international visibility.

"It has been our goal from the beginning to move from a small, local, independent label into a world-wide major entertainment organization, and I think, with artists like Jay Sean and Drake added to Lil Wayne, we have done just that," Williams said in a statement.

Jay Sean's Down is currently riding the Billboard Hot 100 charts at the No. 6 spot.

Cash Money also made headlines when they signed rock singer/songwriter Kevin Rudolf to the label last year.

He also hit the scene with a Lil' Wayne assisted single Let It Rock, which went on to earn the No. 5 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
