Buckshot Slams Rock The Bells Tour, "I Earned My Way To Be Here"

Boot Camp Clik's Buckshot has called out the organizers behind the popular Rock The Bells tour and questioned the logic behind their stage set-ups.

While not naming anyone in particular, the rapper pointed out his problems with this year's tour.

"On the Rock The Bells tour, you got individuals who make decisions," Buck said in a phone interview. "Everybody got their own way of judging sh*t. It's just no way Slaughterhouse sold more records than Talib Kweli, but Slaughterhouse is going on after Talib Kweli. Motherf*ckers don't know why people be so [concerned] with who goes on first...They got two stages going on, it's so f*cked up because one crowd tried to go over and watch Wu-Tang and they try to watch Buckshot and KRS-One at the same time. And these people paid their money to see them...Rock The Bells is two different stages, one is accessible and the other is the main stage, something they call Paid Dues and then Rock The Bells...I earned my way to be here, nobody give Buckshot a motherf*cking thing...They have this fake a** thing called "show fanbase." Get outta here. Fanbase is a fanbase. People like Damian Marley and Nas are gonna headline the mainstage and that's cool..but for the background motherf*ckers, when Nas is on that stage....and I come on after, I get that same reaction. The tour has featured both commercial and underground rap acts.

Rock the Bells 2009 performances by KRS-One, House of Pain, Reflection Eternal, Damian Marley, Tech N9ne, K'Naan, RZA, Big Boi, La Coka Nostra, Slaughterhouse, M.O.P., Slum Village, Buckshot, Evidence, Alchemist and more. It will be hosted by KRS-One, Supernatural, Murs and Pete Rock. Additional artists to be announced. The North American portion of the tour will run from June 27 to August 9. (Guerilla Union)

Performances have been scheduled to take place both in the United States and throughout Canada.

Festival destinations include Chicago, Toronto, Washington, DC, Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, New York, Vancouver and more dates/venues to be announced soon. (Press Release)

Beginning as a nationwide tour, the popular traveling festival kicked-off its international run last year.

Rock the Bells made its European debut last fall, visiting such cities as Amsterdam, Prague, Stockholm, Helsinki, Paris and London. The European visit arrived on the heels of Rock the Bells' 10-date 2008 summer run of North American amphitheaters, which featured A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Mos Def, De La Soul, Rakim, Pharcyde, Santogold, Kid Sister, Cool Kids and Murs, among others. Eight shows grossed $4 million and drew more than 87,000 people, according to Billboard Boxscore. (Billboard)

i was just at the one in long island, i saw buckshot walking around with his entourage and nobody knew who he was. they were trying to holler at girls and got completely ignored. he was pissed because wutang did a special performance at the same time as his set, and everybody moved to the main stage. i saw buckshot perform at the brooklyn hip hop festival and he does an incredible performance, but he's gotta realize its fucking wu tang...

i'm a big fan of buckshot, and the system at rock the bells is far from perfect, but hes just mad

i was walkin back n forth all day tryin to get to atleast a lil of irbody, but sometimes i missed entire acts...

this is a perfect exmple...

like there aint no way imma miss wu for anyone (not that i didnt wanna be him), but thats just the way it is...

i dont get why they just dont fit the times in a better order so you could make both....
