Jay-Z To Replace Drake W/ Kanye West & Rihanna, New Single This Week

Jay-Z has reportedly decided to swap out the original Blueprint 3 first official single with Drake with a joint collaboration record featuring Kanye West and Rihanna.

Reports of the song's title and release date have spread online.

JUST GOT WORD: NEW Jay-Z single coming this Friday (July 24) called "Run This Town" with Kanye and Rihanna! Plus, here's what his album promo schedule will look like: Sept 10 - "Run This Town" webcast from Rocawear 10 year anniversary party in NY. Sept 11 - Blueprint 3 album release & NYC concert assoc. w/NYC Fireman's charity. Sept 13 - MTV Awards performance. Sept 14 - Jay Leno primetime NBC series premiere performance (first musical guest ever). (Hot 106)

Jay's collaboration record with Drake was recently confirmed by DJ Skee.

DJ Skee had the opportunity to preview "Off That," Jay's first single from The Blueprint 3. "I don't want to really ruin the surprise," the host of Sirius XM's "Skeetox" radio show reluctantly tells Rap-Up.com. "I mean it's Jay, he's killing it." While he didn't disclose details, he did build anticipation for the record. "Jay sounds pretty incredible, man." Skee confirmed that hip-hop's hottest newcomer, Drake, lends his talent to the song. Skee previously broke the news on Jay's upcoming album via Twitter.

"First single off the new Jay-Z Blueprint 3 album coming Sunday," DJ Skee wrote unmodified on Friday (June 5). "D.O.A. is the street track...Oh...the official OFFICIAL Jay radio single will be called 'Off That' and feature Drake.....Coming July...Last thing about Jay, Blueprint 3 release date IS 9/11. Same day as original Blueprint in 2001. RocNation. Atlantic hired for marketing. Sunday! (DJ Skee's Twitter Page)

Jay hinted at the production for the new album in an interview last month.

"It's a new classic, that's what I like to call it," he promised. "Kanye [West] is doing the bulk of the production, Timbaland has some incredible records on there and I'm still working on it since I got a little time and can only get better." (WGCI)

I dont know man, it just seems like its the same fucking shit all the time, wow, another single with Kanye and Rhianna on it? Really? Wow, how original. Shit, I aint saying the song wont be good or nothing, but am I the only one who thinks this? Its like every single, I'm not talking about just Jay, but its either T Pain, Kanye, Rhianna etc, always the same people just recycled on singles. I get why he will do it, if the song is hot and a hit, thats good for him, and you cant go wrong in terms of video buzz on BET, radio play, you got Rhianna and Kanye, two of the biggest pop artists there are, so its smart to help his single get burn, but its just the same people on every record, every single.
