Outlawz Member Stormey Busted In Sweden For Drug Possession

Rapper Stormey, of the group Outlawz, was arrested in Sweden recently on charges of possession of a controlled substance.

According to a rep for the group, the young rapper and his driver were interrogated by the country's Border Patrol for nearly five hours, after which his driver was released and he was further detained.

In a statement, the group said called the incident a blatant act of "racial and social profiling" and prejudice against hip-hop artists.

"The Outlawz believe this was a clear case of racial and social profiling, being that Stormey is African-American and a Hip Hop Artist," the statement read. "Several months or so before this incident, Snoop Dogg had eluded Swedish authorities and narrowly avoided arrest himself for similar charges. They also believe that Stomey is now being held with the malicious intent to be 'made an example of' as a result of this."

Due to the strict drug laws of Sweden, Stormey is currently jailed, while he awaits sentencing.

The rest of the Outlawz have continued on their European tour as scheduled, but say they are praying for a "safe and swift release" of their incarcerated member.

The Outlawz are the proteges of the late, great Tupac Shakur. The group had as many as five members, but currently consist of four -- Young Noble, E.D.I. Mean, Kastro and Stormey. Stormey was the last member to join the group, long after the death of Pac.

That's fucked up if they were racial profiling, but it was his choice to try and bring drugs across a border. He got caught doing something illegal and that's the bottom line. I'm a big fan of Tha Outlawz so don't get it twisted, but he was stupid for having drugs on him so that's his own fault.
