As we previously reported, Lil Wayne and his label Cash Money Records has filed suit against DJ Drama, The Aphilliates Music Group and distribution outlet BCD Music Group over the distribution of various mixtapes that feature Lil Wayne.

Yo! Raps reached out to some DJs to get a statement about the situation and what they think about Weezy suing all DJs that unofficially dropped Lil Wayne mixtapes.

"Personally I feel sad that Lil Wayne would be suing the DJs. We are simply the people that helps break your music when radio won't play the records that built the hype and energy to get you to the level you are at. I think you can't really do anything to Wayne because he is established and the fans are too much into him to not buy his music. I feel hit him when it hurts and don't support his new Young Money artists that are coming out." - Superstar Jay

^He's got a point...Mixtape DJs have been around forever, theres a gang of them who make a living of off this shit and Wayne (or his camp) are trying to shut them down so fuck it...they need to play hardball right back. If Drake and those other YM cats are so ill, they'll make it regardless.

I know they call them freestyles, but they aint really freestyles, niggaz have sat down and wrote there version off that record, NOT that I have a problem with it but I just wonder why the original artists dont get paid off that shit????

The whole weezy Mixtape Years helped him get back on top, and generated fuk loads of interest in Cash Money themselves. Birdman wouldnt hav got as big as he has again without the mixtapes people dropped with Wayne on it. ESPECIALLY Drama, which is what i don't understand. If weezy wants to do an official album with Drama (i kno he didnt actually end up doing that, but he expressed interest in it) then y sue him afterwards?

Weezy's going a bit wierd, first rock music and then decides to sue random people that helped bring his career back to the forefront!
