Bubba Sparxxx New South Entertainment in conjunction with E1 Music (formerly KOCH Records) is proud to announce the release of The New South, a Bubba Sparxxx/Greg Street compilation album, on May 5th, 2009.

For the past 2 years, Bubba Sparxxx has been scouring the U.S. for some of today's hottest up-and-coming new rappers. His unique style and incredible ears will help make The New South one of the freshest compilations in a long time. Bubba has also brought on some special reinforcement by partnering up with Greg Street, one of America's most influential urban radio personalities.

Along with 7 tracks of his own, including the first single Beatin' Down Da Block, The New South is set to represent hip hop from every major U.S. region, along with some other International surprises.

Highlights from the new compilation include bangers from J. Money, one of the hottest artists in the clubs in Atlanta and Kenny Knox, the in-demand street artist from St. Louis.

Sparxxx says, "I know everybody thinks I've just been out getting that show money for the past 2 years, and they are right about that. But I've been keeping my ear to the streets as I'm hitting these cities and connecting with who's hot. Everybody on board for this project has been on the grind for a minute. Me and Greg Street have been talking about giving independent artists a chance to shine in a major way and this project accomplishes that. This is only the beginning... Street and Bubba gonna keep these coming. If you got hot music, holla at us. We getting Volume 2 ready now."

I was under the impression that Bubba Sparxx was retired. He hasn't down anything in years.
