Diddy, Jay Electronica Endure 48 Hour 'Spiritual Fast' -- Tweet During Experience

Beginning Tuesday (March 10) at 12:01 a.m. on the dot, hip-hop mogul Diddy began a 48 hour fast from food all together, alongside producer Jay Electronica.

According to Diddy, the "spiritual fast" as he called it, was to help strengthen him in "mind and spirit." He ate no food, whatsoever. The only thing Diddy put in his body during the past two days were strictly natural juices.

At exactly midnight on the dot, both set out on their journey, writing texts on their official Twitter pages (Twitter.com/IAmDiddy and Twitter.com/JayElectronica), asking for strength and encouragement from their legion of followers. At press time, Diddy follower count was nearing 121,000.

During the first few hours, the hip-hop mogul joked about smelling some of his favorite foods when there wasn't anything in the room. "I smell fried chicken ... even though there's none here... I can still smell it ... lol!!!" Diddy wrote.

The next day, there were several times Diddy seemed to almost give in, but stayed strong. "Man why is everyone eating??? Everywhere I go I see and smell food!!! God help me!" he wrote at around 5 p.m. on Tuesday (March 10).

The 48 hours went on. Diddy tweeted back and forth with followers, giving some shoutouts for those fasting with him. Even singer Cassie checked in to support her label boss.

"Ladies and gentleman CASSIE has joined the fast welcome her. 24 hrs to go!!! Let's go!!"

At the stroke of midnight Thursday morning (March 12), Diddy -- with Jay Electronica at his side in the studio -- prepared themselves for a meal they couldn't wait for, which he documented via his P.TwittyTV channel on YouTube.

Both musicians jumped out their seats, ran to the kitchen table, where Diddy feasted on a "chicken breast with gravy, whipped cauliflower, cream corn, butter peas, fruit and strawberry lemonade!!"

Before eating though, he gave a quite prayer to God. "I wanna thank God for giving us the strength to finish our fast!! God bless you all!! We can do anything we put our minds too!! BE GREAT!!" Diddy wrote.

"We focused. I feel more focused. Ya'll focused. Dreams do come true. Let's go," he concluded.

Diddy is currently in the studio, working on his next solo album Last Train To Paris, which he has described as an "electro-hip-hop-soul funk concoction that culminates in a love-seeking journey from London to Paris." It is due out in September.

whatever....lol.....these two tryin to find enlightenment thru not eating for two days is fucking laughable and makes a mockery of people who really did fast ....people like Ghandi and Hakeem Olajuwon.....
