Jaz-O Refuses To Back Down From Jay-Z Feud, "I Had To Do What I Had To Do"

Rapper Jaz-O has addressed his bad guy image due to his refusal to step away from a rap beef with his former protege Jay-Z.

Jaz claims a recent negative reference by Jay-Z was his way of promoting the upcoming Blueprint 3 album.

"I pride myself in being real humble but I ain't takin' no sh*t from nobody," Jaz said in an interview. "No matter who it is, where it is. I ain't takin' no sh*t from nobody so I had to do what I had to do and I'mma continue doing it. N*ggas wanna talk, they can talk. I'mma walk...If you wanna squash something, we know so many of the same people, my number ain't no secret...He got an album coming out so I guess he tryin' to stir up some sh*t." (Sub Zero DVD)

Jaz originally caught feelings upon hearing his name referenced by Jay in Ludacris' "I Do It For Hip-Hop" song.

Jaz recently struck out against the Brooklyn rapper on the diss track "Go Harder."

The Marcy Projecs-bred emcee is known for publicly displaying his feelings towards Jay.

"Yeah yeah, happy birthday n*gga," Jaz said in a video for Jay's 39th birthday last December. "I got n*ggas with half a billion talking about me...This is the last time I'mma wear this motherf*cking Rocawear hat and the rest of that Rocawear bullsh*t." (Forbes DVD)

Jaz-O is credited for helping Jay-Z rise to fame early in his career.

He is an East Coast rapper, active in the late 1980s and early 1990s, best known for being a mentor of sorts to Jay-Z. Jaz-O is also known as The Originator. (123 Biographies)
