Dipset Associate Arrested, Charged W/ Drug Possession

Dipset associate Darnell "King Tut" Brittingham and promoter Brandon Buckley were arrested Wednesday (February 11) night on drug charges after police discovered marijuana and a cocaine filled teddy bear in their vehicle.

Police took notice of their vehicle after being spotted driving suspiciously in New Jersey Wednesday night (February 11).

King Tut and his promoter were stopped on Route 1 south, for tailgating and driving with illegally tinted windows in New Jersey. When an officer approached the 2005 white Toyota Camry around 9:30 PM last night (February 11), he noticed the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. (Industry Hustle)

Upon inspection, police found multiple forms of drugs throughout the car.

Police uncovered plastic bags of marijuana and a half ounce of cocaine stuffed inside the toy bear, Captain Joseph Zevitz said. A digital scale and plastic bags used for drug packaging and distribution were also found. Both were charged with manufacturing/distribution or intent to manufacture/distribute a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were taken to the Bergen County Jail where King Tut was being held on $25,000 bail and Buckley on $15,000 bail. (North Jersey)

The rapper is reportedly associated with Freekey Zekey's 730 Dips group.

"King Tut, you already know," Tut says in his MySpace video. "730 Dips all day...I'm 23...I just did a four and half year bid, I'm fresh off, I just got off four weeks ago. I'm chopping it up. I got 13 songs on the 'net, I'm with the Dips, shout-out to the boy Zee." (MySpace)

Zeekey is known for being a key figure in Cam'ron's Diplomats.

Harlem-based crew the Diplomats, aka Dipset, gained a reputation for inundating the New York mixtape circuit with their CDs, and they have been fairly successful at it, too. Some of that credit goes toward Diplomats Records president Ezekiel Jiles, better known as Freekey Zekey. Despite his executive status, Zekey performed with his crew as an energetic hype man and was also responsible for the ridiculous skits on Dipset mixtapes and lead member Cam'ron's albums.
