Busta Rhymes Talks Interscope Split

Busta Rhymes Busta Rhymes finally revealed why he left Aftermath/Interscope Records.

In an interview with Rap Up Magazine, the Arab Money rapper said, "Even though it was great to be with Dr. Dre, I don't think the Interscope side of my business deal understood how to do business with Busta Rhymes. They were a great label and a great establishment, but there is a different kind of way you have to do business when you're doing business with the Busta Rhymes business."

Rhymes' new album B.O.M.B. will hit stores next year and is signed to Universal Motown now.

In a previous interview, the rapper said, "Me and Dre are still good. So even though I'm not in business with Aftermath or Interscope, I'm still with Aftermath. Me and Dre are always gonna be good."

Despite whispers about an alleged beef with Interscope chairman Jimmy Iovine, Busta thanked his former employer for releasing two videos for the songs We Made It and Don't Touch Me (Throw Da Water On 'Em).

"Big up to Interscope for, you know, giving me the leaked joints and the set-ups," Busta said with sarcasm. "Now we gonna consider those the leaked joints."
