Ludacris Disturbs The Peace At "Rally For Change"

Platinum-selling rapper Ludacris has decided to join forces and support Georgia's Democratic hopeful, Jim Martin, by attending the "Rally for Change" in his homestate today.

The free event will represent Martin's run for the U.S. Senate as he squares off against incumbent opponent, Republican Saxby Chambliss, in tomorrow's run-off election. While most elections ended November 4, neither Martin nor Chambliss were able to secure a majority of votes leading to tomorrow's final ballot casts.

Hosted by Martin, Congressman John Lewis, Luda and others are expected to show-up at the steps of Georgia's State Capitol this afternoon.

Open to the public, the "Rally for Change" is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. in Atlanta.

In related news, Luda's new album Theater of the Mind dropped last Tuesday (November 24) and became Kanye West's latest competitor as it went up against 808s and Heartbreak. Despite a popular match-up, the Grammy winning rapper told SOHH he was not concerned over the first week's numbers.

"This is the busiest shopping weekend of the entire year," Luda told SOHH. "People are going to go out and they're going to get two albums, hopefully they will get both albums. You have some Luda fans. You have some Kanye fans. You have some Luda and Kanye fans but what's important is that you go out and get some good music."

Early reports have Ye averaging around the 450,000 to 500,000 range while Luda sits around close to 225,000, according to HitsDailyDouble.com.
