New Juelz Santana Mixtape Has The Internet Going Nuts, "We Did Over 750,000 Downloads The 1st Week"

Over the summer Juelz Santana was finally freed from his contract with former mentor Cam'ron. In this exclusive interview the Dipset prince discusses his newfound energy, his plot to takeover the internet and the success of his Skull Gang crew's debut mixtape.
After being released from his deal with Cam, Juelz signed directly with Def Jam and promptly prepared for the September 19th release of "The Takeover," a mixtape presenting his group, the Skull Gang.

"Our mixtape is like an album," Santana told SOHH. "We did over like 750,000 downloads the first week. So I want to thank everybody who been supporting us."

Juelz also revealed his plan to shoot a video for every track on "The Takeover" and to re-release the mixtape with a DVD.

"As far as music it's a hostile takeover," he said. "I'm putting up videos. I'm doing a video for every song on the mixtape. Even songs that we just playing with we just shooting videos for. We just doing it man giving people what they need."

One of the videos that Juelz recently released on the internet was a commercial for the mixtape which featured Skull Gang members carrying out a fraternity like ritual in a wooded area. [Watch here]

Internet comments about the commercial weren't all favorable but that isn't going to deter Santana one bit. "I love all the hate," he told SOHH. "Keep being aggie, that's what I tell 'em. I'ma keep doing it."

Juelz plans to follow up "The Takeover" with his own solo mixtape, tentatively titled "The Reagan Era." His long-awaited third album Born to Lose, Built to Win, is set to drop on Def Jam sometime in 2009.
