DJ AM 'Looks Just Fine' Despite Plane-Crash Injuries, Friend Nicky Hilton Says
Paris Hilton says, 'I feel like God really did save him.'

DJ AM's friend Nicky Hilton told UsMagazine.com on Wednesday that she saw him two days ago and "he looks just fine," despite the second- and third-degree burns he suffered during the plane crash last month that killed four people and also injured Travis Barker.

"I think considering the circumstances, he is doing really well," she said. "I think he has so many friends and family that have kept him going through this. It is just a horrible, horrible situation. He has so many people that love him. There is a lot of love. Tons of love."

DJ AM, who was released from the hospital on Friday, was photographed earlier this week en route to a memorial service for Barker's assistant Chris Baker, who was killed in the crash. Barker was released from the hospital on Tuesday.

On Tuesday Hilton's sister, Paris, spoke to Ryan Seacrest about DJ AM, with whom she said she's been exchanging text messages, when she stopped by his radio show. She said AM told her "how scary" the crash was and that he added "he's just so lucky to be alive."

"With all the love and support coming in, it really means a lot," Paris said. "He's such a good person. I feel like God really did save him."

She also recalled how she found out the crash. "I was ... just landing in from Milan. I was sitting with my manager, and he showed me the phone. I couldn't believe it," she said. "It's so scary."

In light of the circumstances, Paris, who said she's frequently flown in private jets like that one involved in the crash, said, "Now I will never go in one again. You never know what can happen!"
