Travis Barker Released From Hospital

Hospital spokesperson said she believes Barker is returning to Los Angeles; DJ AM was released Friday.

Travis Barker was released from the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, on Monday morning (September 29), a spokesperson for the hospital confirmed to MTV News.

The drummer spent nine days at the center after the plane crash that took the lives of four people and seriously injured Barker and DJ AM. Barker underwent treatment for severe burns on his torso and lower body. Still spokesperson Beth Frits said Monday that she believed Barker he was heading home to Los Angeles.

"Travis is in good condition was discharged this morning," Frits told People.com on Monday. "He has left Augusta."

On Friday, DJ AM, who also suffered severe burns in the crash, was released from the hospital. "While he is deeply saddened by the events, he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends worldwide," AM's rep said. "We ask that you continue to respect his privacy as he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends." The DJ updated his Facebook page later Friday to say, "Adam Goldstein [AM's real name] is the luckiest guy alive."

Monday's announcement contrasted with a statement from Barker's friend, Jermaine Dupri, who'd visited the drummer and said he'd be out of the hospital in "about two weeks." "He's supposed to send a message out to everybody in a couple of days to let everybody know that he's feeling better," he said. "He's definitely feeling the love from everyone."

Both Barker and AM are expected to recover fully from their injuries. Barker's assistant "Lil" Chris Baker, his security guard and the plane's pilot and co-pilot were killed in the crash.

That's good to know I thought he had passed at the hospital but now I know he didn't R.I.P. to the people who didn't survive the plane crash.

im glad to hear travis barkers ok......hes an INSANE drumer.....and famous stars and straps is my favorite clothing brand.....i have like 15 shirts :)....im wearing one now lol
