The Game Says Jay-Z Is Jockin' Him With New Song, “Me And Jay Trade Subliminal Hits”

With his new album, LAX, in stores this week SOHH sat down with The Game to talk first week sales predictions and to find out why he thinks “Jockin’ Jay-Z” was directed at him.

Despite efforts from his arch enemy’s website, Thisis50.com, to leak free downloads of his latest album LAX, The Game is confident his sales will still thrive. “My album being in stores makes me feel like a winner,” said The Game. “I’m excited. I sold 130,000 records on iTunes [Tuesday] morning. So that combined with the people in the streets, it’s probably going to be successful come next Tuesday, Wednesday.”

Though he is optimistic, the West Coast-based rapper says he isn’t too concerned about the first week sales numbers of his third and final album.

“Whatever the number comes out to be will make me happy,” he said. “I’m just happy to have another album in stores and still be co-existing in hip-hop with some of the best lyricists that ever lived.”

One of the lyricists that Game is referring to is Brooklyn-bred rapper Jay-Z. In recent months, The Game has been quite vocal in his desire to lure the rapper into a lyrical battle. On the LAX cut, “Dope Boys,” which features Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, Game taunts Jay by hijacking his hook for “Roc Boys (And The Winner is).”

“When I heard the, ‘Roc Boys in the building,’ I was like, well, I’m in Cali we do the dope thing. Everything is dope for us. So I came with ‘the Dope Boys in the building’ and then he comes with, ‘Jockin’ Jay-Z, I’m still dope boy fresh.”

Game thinks that this was an indirect diss. “Me and Jay I guess we trade subliminal hits every now and then,” he explained. “And you know poke fun, but it’s nothing too serious. It’s never going to be a fist fight or anything street or nothing real violent to come out of it.”

“If anything it’ll be a lyrical war which I’ll engage if he engages and if not then you’ll let it go away.”

The Game’s new album LAX is in stores now.

The game stans cant make one post without talking about G Unit. Shit is sad for real, now they will all blame Fifs site for LAX selling like shit, I mean even SOHH the wack hater site mentions it, like the album wasnt all over the interent a week before and shit, na, its Fifs site that put it out and is hurting GAmes sales. Thats right. Now to Game first week sales dont matter, but every first week sales of G Unit he has something to say about Banks, Buck etc, how he killed them, now first week sales dont mean much, guess this came after he saw the predictions of him not coming close to 300k, unless they start buying albums. I just bought LAX today and seriously, you gotta be utterly retarded to not even see the difference in the production. There's more quality, the instrumentals are definitly better and ALL the features are dope (TOS had none... )

Game won't be bigger than 50 ever but I think he is bigger than G Unit. He is bigger than Banks and Yayo. But with that said it seems G Unit and Game are almost done. All of their shits just boring now and none of them have any buzz. What they need to do is get over their beefing and get back to business. People are now speaking to both camps through declining record sales. Game fans on this site and BWS kept telling game to stop with all of the G-Unit disses and focus on his own career. Now record buyers just don't care anymore. Even 50 leaking the album is too much now.. People just don't want to hear anything that either camp has to say....because its all been said before! Guns, Girls, Money, Whips, dis dis dis....ENOUGH!
