03/10/08 - Will Val Kilmer Replace Robert De Niro As 50's Partner In New Movie

It looks like Robert De Niro will be replaced by Val Kilmer in the upcoming Movie „New Orleans“ now „Microwave Park“.

De Niro was supposed to team up with Curtis „50 Cent“ Jackson to play an police officer that uncovers a trail of deceit and corruption in the police force as he searches for the killer of his former partner.

According to Val Kilmer's official website, he will be taking on the role of "a burly rough but loyal cop. 50 is my partner..."

It is not known, whether Robert De Niro still will be in the Movie or not. „Microwave Park“ would be the second Movie of 50 Cent and Robert De Niro teaming up, after they already did the crime drama „Righteous Kill“.

no offense but replacing him with val kilmer is the difference in seeing the movie. robert de niro has some good films and would help 50 out just by name alone. val kilmer is hit and miss.

Eh depends who else is in it. The diff is De Niro can sell a movie by himself most of the time and Kilmer cant. Your right tho he is hit or miss, but hes def had good movies and I could see him being decent in that kind of story.
