02/13/08 - Rap Chart Soulja Boy Rules, Kool G Rap Makes Silent Debut

Still leading the pack for the second week in a row at No. 1 on Billboard's 'Top Rap Albums Chart' is Soulja Boy.

Souljaboytellem.com scanned 18,600 copies this week. The album's tally stands at 764,500.

Holding tight to the No. 2 spot is Lupe Fiasco. The Cool bags up 14,700 units in its eighth week on the charts. To date, the album has sold 316,800 copies.

Jay-Z moves up one spot to No. 3. American Gangster has moved 978,300 copies thus far, with 12,900 representing the week-in total.

Also moving up a spot is Kanye West. Graduation shelves off 12,900 discs this week. After 23 weeks, the album has sold 1,983,100.

For the third week in a row, Bow Wow & Omarion hang on to the No. 6 spot. Face Off reels in 12,200 units this week, pushing the album's total sales to 258,400.

Also staying put to their previous spot is Plies at No. 7. Real Testament shifts 7,100 discs this week. After 27 weeks, the album has sold 438,900 copies.

Right behind him is 50 Cent at No. 8. Curtis continues to be a hot seller, cashing out 6,500 CDs this week. So far, the album's tally stands at 1,271,700.

DJ Drama and Scarface hang on to the spots they held last week, No. 9 and No. 10, respectively. Drama's Gangsta Grillz cashed out 6,400 copies this week while Scarface's M.A.D.E. moved 6,100 copies.

Gangsta Grillz has sold a total of 139,800 copies while M.A.D.E. has sold a total of 164,200 copies.

Notable debuts under the Top 10 this week include the third offering from The Bone Brothers (Bizzy Bone & Layzie Bone). Bone Brothers Volume 3 debuts at No. 33 selling 2,100 copies.

Kool G Rap debuts at No. 98 with his latest album Half A Klip. The set moves 690 copies

in its first go-around on the charts.
