Prodigy Says "Hip-Hop Is Dead" Helped The Critics of Hip-Hop Music

Prodigy was asked whether or not he thought the critics of Hip-Hop music and black culture were using the term "Hip-Hop" in a negative sense in the place of "black people":

"Yeah, they definitely are trying to do that. And whoever put out that sh*t hip hop is dead, the first person to promote that sh*t...they trying to help them. Why would you put that in the people’s mind that hip hop is dead? Why would you even put that out there? Because it’s far from dead. Whoever put that out there they was trying to help them promote that".

Prodigy also went on to discuss his new album "H.N.I.C. 2" and his work ethic:

"...my main focus is H.N.I.C. 2 right now. I have a video for every song on the album. It’s going to be real crazy, I made sure every song on there is really really sharp. This is album is special. It’s my second solo album and I’m trying to do big things with this sh*t man...I’m a workaholic! People think 50 was a robot, I’m a fu*kin monster machine. Mobb Deep has millions of songs. Real talk no joke. We could stop recording right now and put albums out for the next 30 years!"
