Scarface, Drama, Wyclef Jean & Ghostface Killah Debut In The Billboard Top 50

With many rap releases hitting shelves last week, Scarface, Drama, and Wyclef, are among the few who make impressions on the charts.

Scarface hit the Billboard 200 charts at No. 17 with his new release M.A.D.E., moving 63,000 units. The Houston veteran pulled Lil' Wayne, T.I., and Z-Ro for the project.

Drama dropped Gangsta Grillz and hit No. 26 on the charts. The mixtape master recently dropped the DJ form his name, but apparently fans still know him. Gangsta Grillz pushed 48,800 discs. The album features guest appearances from T.I., Young Jeezy, Outkast, Rick Ross, Pharell, Clipse and others. [Peep this DJ Drama video as he explains the "drama" surrounding his name]

Wyclef Jean debuted at No. 28 with Carnival 2: Memoirs of an Immigrant. Clef's memoirs sold 46,500 discs. Clef recently told SOHH about his Carnival House label and how he and the Fugees will never show a weakness.

"If it's not going to be the Fugees and the three members, I'm not going to be inspired to rhyme," Clef to SOHH. "I'm from the block. Weakness on the block is when you show separation. People can feel like the Fugees is not together but once I do a record with just me and Pras and Lauryn is not there, then it's over because you have showed weakness and separation from your clan." Ghostface Killah's Big Doe Rehab took No. 41 for its first week on the charts. The Wu-Tang clansmen sold 35,700 copies of his solo project, the follow-up disc to 2006's More Fish. The new album features fellow Wu members Method Man, U-God and Raekwon. [Peep Ghost's blog on SOHH for more information]

The Super Gangster (Extraordinary Gentlemen), Styles P, debuted at No. 52 on the charts selling 29,000 copies. The Yonkers rapper tapped Akon, Ray J, Ghostface, Black Thought and Max B for the album.

2Pac's latest compilations, Best of 2Pac-Part 1: Thug hit the charts at No. 65, while Best Of 2Pac- Part 2: Life debuted at No. 77. Part 1 moved 22,500 copies and Part 2, 18,900.

Too Short's new disc Get Off the Stage debuted at No. 160. The West Coast rapper moved only 8,100 units in his first week.

This is a damm shame what the rap game has become. There should be something done about these record sales. I understand that there are some lame ass n*ggaz in the game, but now the Boss's in the game barely gettin by.

ITs as easy as 50 says it, the artist have to make a livin out of touring and commercial shit. Because you cant get rich by sellin albums anymore. But i wonder what will happen when the big record companys will kick the artist out because they are not sellin. Fucked up shit for real.
