Judge Denies C-Murder's Request To Attend Pimp C's Funeral

A Louisiana judge yesterday (December 11) shot down C-Murder’s request to attend Pimp C’s funeral in Port Arthur, Texas, on Thursday (December 13).

C- Murder, whose real name is Corey Miller, is awaiting retrial on a second-degree murder charge in the 2002 killing of sixteen year old Steve Thomas, who was shot in the chest during a brawl in the defunct Platinum Club in Louisiana.

According to The Times Picayune, C- Murder requested Judge Martha Sassone to allow him to drive to Port Arthur to attend Pimp C’s funeral and spend nine days with this three children in Houston through Christmas and New Year's.

Sassone dismissed C-Murder’s requests and said that the rapper’s children will have to travel to his home in Kenner, Louisiana.

Pimp C, born Chad Butler, was found dead in bed in his room at the Mondrian Hotel in Hollywood, California last week. The legendary Houston rapper and C- Murder had collaborated on various projects in the past years.

As reported earlier, various rappers from the music industry including some of the biggest rap names in the Houston area will be attending Pimp C’s funeral tomorrow (December 13).

C-Murder has been under house arrest since he was released on bond in March 2006, after the Louisiana Supreme Court overturned his murder conviction and accepted his request for a new trial.

C- Murder will again stand trial on the murder charges on February 11th in Louisiana and will face mandatory life sentence in prison if convicted.
