Update: Details About Fatal Club Stabbing Emerge, Stories On Fabolous’ Presence Conflict

Details about the fatal stabbing of a 25 year old man with ties to rapper Fabolous at a New York nightclub on Thanksgiving night (November 22) have emerged, but stories surrounding the Brooklyn lyricist’s presence at nightspot have conflicted.

CBS 2 HD reported yesterday (November 23) that Shamal McKinney and his brother, Darryl, partied with Fabolous and friends at Club Duvet on Thursday night. At around 3:30 a.m., Shamal staggered out of the club with wounds in his torso and encountered officers outside who were called to the plush nightspot because of a fight.

Shamal died on arrival at St. Vincent's Hospital.

Darryl would reveal to CBS 2 HD that Fabolous was long gone before the stabbing occurred.

The New York Daily News claims that when they visited Fabolous’ New Jersey home on Friday (November 23) to question him about the incident, an unidentified man answered the door and said that Fabolous had spent Thanksgiving with his family and was not at the club.

Calls to Fabolous' lawyer were not returned.

Authorities believe Shamal’s stabbing might have resulted from a fight over two women that they were initially called to club to quell. They are still investigating whether Shamal was somehow involved.

Darryl told The Daily News that his brother was not involved with the scuffle.

“The fight broke out but he had nothing to do with it. He got caught in the middle,” Darryl explained. “ He wasn't with the girls. He was just standing there.”

The police found a bloody knife in a dumpster near the club.& nbsp; No suspects have been named or arrest.

A police source divulged to The Daily News that investigators are looking to question Fabolous.
