    Ludacris Takes Action With Role In New Sci-Fi Thriller
    Wednesday - November 14, 2007

    Atlanta rapper Ludacris has established himself in Hollywood with a few roles on the big screen. But the artist, who is currently on set with bags of fake blood and flying rubber body parts, has never been a part of a project like this.

    Luda's signed on to be a part of a new action movie from the makers of Crank, Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, according to Movieweb.com.

    The film, which is yet to be titled, is set seven years in the future. Prisoners are implanted with brain microchips and played by other free humans in a mass, multi-player game. The prisoners provide for the ultimate gaming experience with players manipulating them in a first-person shooter format. The objective of the game, as a free human, is to win 30 games and earn freedom for the prisoner who is being played.

    Ludacris' character is part of a resistance group called Humanz that is protesting the way the prisoners are being used. Opposite Luda is young actor Logan Lerman, who plays a free human whose prisoner, Kable rebels; attempting to regain his identity, destroy the system that has overtaken him and the other prisoners' minds and free himself from the control of the human players.

    The movie follows Kable, played by 300's Gerard Butler, through four different games that he must dominate in order to reclaim control of his life.

    Ludacris' Hollywood resume includes 2 Fast 2 Furious, Crash, Hustle & Flow, Fred Claus, and Guy Ritchie's upcoming RocknRolla.

    The movie has already begun shooting scenes at a BMX dirt bike park in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is expected to be released in 2009. Other actors on board for the film include,John Leguizamo, Kyra Sedgwick and Michael C. Hall.

    This shit sounds stupid as fuck and just like all the bad decisions Luda is making in his music career there is a bad decision in his movie career.Crash and Hustle And Flow were tight and his small role in F&F 2 was alright but it ends there.He cut his braids to play in that new Christmas movie and now he is gonna be in this stupid shit.Luda needs to stop makin these decions they are hurting his career and if he has a manager making these decisions a then he neds to fire that motherfucker cause Luda fell off.

    I think Luda can pull it off. At he least they didn't cast him as a gangsta like they do every other rapper.

    i agree this movies does sound stupid but he gettin money from it he prolly gonna make a quick 5-6 million dollars of this movie so fuck it there's actors always playin bad roles here and there look at goerge clooney in "batman & robin" or john travolta and forest whitaker in "battlefield earth" im sayin though u can bounce back from a wak movie...but how did luda make bad decisions in his music career? didnt he have a number 1 platinum album and single and 2 grammys recently? everything hes featured on he still rips it so explain how he fell off cuz he didnt fall off lyrically so wut is it?
