Rapper Fierce Arrested; Reps Say Police Have Wrong Man

Newark, New Jersey rapper Fierce is facing aggravated assault and attempted murder charges following a recent incident at a house party, but representatives for the rapper claim police have nabbed the wrong man.

Sources tell AllHipHop.com that Fierce, born Qandeel Nixon, is currently in jail awaiting a $200,000 bond, after being taken into custody by authorities, one week after the Oct. 21 incident.

Fierce was arrested on 11 charges ranging from assault to weapons violations, for allegedly shooting up a house party and stabbing attendees.

The rapper was apprehended based on a claim that he fit a description of the person responsible for the violent attack at the house party and was identified by a juvenile.

Representatives for the rapper have denied his involvement and claim he was miles away the night of the attack. Reps said the rapper was at Carli’s Bar in Hillside, NJ at the time of the incident.

His whereabouts can allegedly be verified by a bartender and an off-duty police officer who were present at the bar.

Additionally, a friend of Fierce’s claims he drove the rapper home after his visit. Fierce’s arrest come as he was receiving national exposure after an opening slot for rap legend KRS-One and Channel Live member Hakim at a New York CMJ event.

He has also appeared on BET’s Rap City, BET’s Teen Summit, MSNBC, Lyricist Lounge and in Billboard Magazine.

Fierce was also featured as an artist in The Source’s Unsigned Hype column in 1997.
