Battle Competition, Flight Klub, Kicks Off New Season

Hip-hop's most revered underground battle competitions, the Monday Night Fight Klub, is getting ready for a new season, with the announcement of a nationwide promotional tour to build buzz.

The promo tour kicked off in September in Virginia and will head out throughout October, hitting Houston, Phoenix, Portland, Los Angeles and Seattle along the way. The event's host, International P, will travel to over 30 cities around the country visiting radio stations to find the hottest up-and-coming MCs to participate in their infamous battles.

But, if aspiring MCs aren't near the tour stops, they can catch a break via the internet, as they are allowed to upload their videos, mp3s and photos at TheFightKlub.com for a chance to become compete in Fight Klub's battle event in New York City, which will be taped for television to be aired at a later time.

The Monday Night Fight Klub's bi-weekly events have become a training ground and A&R showcase for aspiring artists. It garnered mass attention with the release of their Volume 1 DVD in 2005 and a show on MTV2, which aired the first season of the battle competitions -- which have featured the likes of Remy Ma, Jin, 40 Cal, Sam Scarfo and Serius Jones, among others.

Additionally, Monday Night Fight Klub has recently opened a full service, state of the art recording studios. The new 5,000 square foot facility is located in the heart of Manhattan and will be utilized and booked with both signed and unsigned artists looking to make a hit record.
