VH1's Hip-Hop Honors Recognizes Hip-Hop Websites

VH1's annual Hip-Hop Honors Awards ceremony is coming up soon -- next month. But this year, in addition to honoring legendary artists in the, VH1 is also recognizing the internet, specifically, hip-hop websites.

Hip-hop fans, and hip-hop website viewers will have the opportunity to vote for what sites will be honored in categories such as Best Hip-Hop Apparel Site, Best Hip-Hop Magazine Site, Best Hip-Hop Radio Station Site, Best Overall Hip-Hop Site and Best Hip-Hop Lifestyle Site, which BallerStatus.com has been nominated in.

For place your vote in support of BallerStatus.com, visit HipHop.VH1.com.

The ceremony will take place on October 4 at the famed Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City and will later air on VH1 on October 8th.

In addition to recognizing hip-hop websites, the Hip-Hop Honors will honor artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, Whodini, Teddy Riley, Andre Harrell, Snoop Dogg and Missy Elliott. The seminal hip-hop film, "Wild Style," will also be honored.

The show's host is comedian/actor Tracy Morgan.

The night's festivities will be capped off with several performances including by the honorees, while A-list stars from the hip-hop community will make appearances as well.
