A budding rap promoter from Queens celebrating his first big project was killed early yesterday when a drunken driver plowed into his car, police said.

Daniel (Dub) Girvan, 22, was driving friends home when a green Mitsubishi hit him on Beach 62nd St. and Beach Channel Drive just blocks from his Far Rockaway apartment.

"He said, 'I'm not going to be out for long. I'll be right back,'" wailed his girlfriend Tina Sutherland, 25, at the crash scene.

"He said, 'I love you' and he kissed me."

Girvan's red Ford Taurus was wrecked in the 2:40 a.m. crash and he died instantly.

Mark Creary, 25, of Far Rockaway was charged with drunken driving. His blood-alcohol level was not released. He is in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital.

Creary has a history of drug arrests, including an arrest in October 2005 for selling drugs to an undercover police officer and a misdemeanor marijuana charge in 2006, police said.

"I heard it was an accident, but I don't know anything about it yet," said Creary's uncle, who gave his name only as Errol.

Creary, who drives a van for a living, moved in with his uncle after separating from his wife. The couple's young son was with his estranged wife yesterday.

Girvan's two passengers - two men aged 19 and 26 - were also in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital, police said.

"This person should get life. He took a life, he should get life," raged the promoter's sister, Natalie Girvan, 24. "I wish people would stop drinking and driving. You take so many lives."

Relatives and friends gathered at the crash scene yesterday with tears and disbelief in their eyes.

"Momma, what happened to his car?" Sutherland's 3-year-old son Armeir asked, pointing at the crumpled metal heap. "Momma, where's he at?"

Girvan had been promoting the album "Wats Betta" Vol. 1, by up-and-coming Rockaways rapper Sonny Goodtimes. He was excited by its success on the street, Sutherland said.

"He always talked about being a rap star, a superstar," she said. "He was so happy when he made it."

Yesterday, Girvan's MySpace page was dominated by the album cover and notes of mourning.

"I can't believe [you're] gone," read one entry. "Rest in peace, Dub."
