HIP HOP LEADERS WORKSHOP

ANNOUNCES BRANDING PARTNERSHIP

WITH AUTOMOTIVE PLAYER SCION,

WILL FEATURE LEGENDARY PRODUCER DJ PREMIER

Hip Hop Leaders announces The Global Town Hall Meeting: The Global Hip Hop Community Speaks, a timely inclusion to its upcoming week long workshop August 8-12 at UCLA. The workshop, which is part of a larger philanthropic initiative to diversify the technology sector via “at-risk” youth, will bring together some of the best and the brightest to examine the impact of “negative” words in Hip Hop, as well how Hip Hop can be a positive force in our communities. This town hall, in much the same fashion as the Democratic nominee debates have utilized technology like You Tube to engage citizens that might otherwise be left out of the political process, will utilize You Tube to engage questions and opinions from youth in the United Kingdom some 5,500 miles away. Technology is being utilized to bring the Global Hip Hop Community together.

The Global Town Hall Meeting, conceived by 1600 Avenue Founder Frank Satterwhite and 1600 Avenue Chief Marketing Officer Eddie Donaldson, will be sponsored by automotive company Scion. Scion supported the involvement of DJ Premier. The Town hall also features such hip hop culture notables as Ryan Ford of The Source, QDIII, Sticky Fingaz, and recently signed SRC/Universal recording artist Topic.

Both1600 Avenue and Jeri Yoshizu, Manager of Sales and Promotion for Scion, believes the common thread amongst a certain mindset is music. Music is a critical factor for connecting a lot of people together with one activity, and with hip-hop being the thread with the most diverse breakout.
