07/24/07 - BBC Rejects Homophobic Complaint Against The Game

A complaint filed against BBC for broadcasting homophobic comments made by The Game on The Jo Whiley Show on BBC Radio 1 last July has been dismissed by the corporation's governors.

On Jo Whiley's Show, The Game caused an uproar by calling gay men "faggots" and "not real men".

The BBC governors committee said: "The Game's comments were very offensive, completely unacceptable and clearly homophobic", but they said they wont take any action against Jo Whiley because she made a "sincere, full and swift" apology and distanced herself and the network from The Game's comments.

The BBC has cancelled further interviews with The Game but decided not to ban his music.
