D'Angelo Cruisin' To Court For Driving Violation

R&B crooner D'Angelo is expected to appear in Powhatan County Court next month to face charges for various traffic infractions stemming from a 2005 crash.

According to The Richmond Times Dispatch, D'Angelo (born Michael E. Archer) was taken into custody in February and served with warrants charging him of driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence, and reckless driving in a Powhatan crash that occurred on September 19th 2005.

As SOHH previously reported, D'Angelo was hospitalized from the crash after being thrown from his Hummer on a Virgina highway and suffering bruised ribs and contusions.

A week before the aforementioned accident, the singer had been given a three-year suspended sentence in Chesterfield Circuit Court on a cocaine charge stemming from a traffic stop.

A rep for the singer and his attorney, Ned Mikula, could not be reached for comment.
