Jermaine Dupri Opens ATL Night Club

Hip-Hop mogul Jermaine Dupri is preparing to reveal his latest creation, an Atlanta club he's dubbed Studio 72.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Dupri spent $1 million making renovations to the 12,000-square-foot location just outside of the ATL, in order to have it ready in time for his media and celebrity friends to preview on June 12.

Located at 3965 Lawrenceville Highway, Studio 72, which has been touted as "a modern day version of famed New York nightclub Studio54," will be officially open for business on June 16. The opening will be celebrated with a silver carpet grand opening.

Dupri, who was appointed president of urban music at Island Records in February, is currently at work on Mariah Carey's upcoming album as well as a project with new Island signees Jagged Edge, who began their careers at Dupri's So So Def imprint in 1997.
